How to Amend a Court Order in Israel

If one wishes to correct a mistake in a decree issued by the district court (prior to the the Registrar of Inheritance Affairs commencing with its activities), one must submit an application to the family court in the place of residence where the testator passed away.

In the case that a will probate order is given by the district court and assets were discovered in the name of the deceased that the will does not specify, it is possible to submit an application for the succession order to the Registrar of Inheritance Affairs that has authority in the place where the deceased testator resided.  (We also have an article on applying for a succession order on our website.)

One also needs to attach a copy of the will probate order that was given by the district court to the application. (We also have an article on applying for a will probate order on our website.)  After receiving a response from the legal counsel of the custodian general, the request will be passed on to the family court.
